Would anyone like to tell me their favourite Musical Theatre Christmas number before I close the poll for this week's show? I had an amazing response on one of the Facebook groups this year, and it has been fascinating, always good to get more though.

I made a ridiculous mistake in show 205, so I have taken it down to edit whilst I have a strong word with myself.
I am not sure if I am more depressed that I made such a stupid error (in a subject that I know very well) or that nobody noticed. 😭

Showtune isn't a 'personality' show. It's about the shows, the genre, the history, the little bits that make the magic. You're not going to get the same 50 songs that we all love on repeat. Hopefully, you will discover new loves!

Showtune isn't a 'personality' show. It's about the shows, the genre, the history, the little bits that make the magic. You're not going to get the same 50 songs that we all love on repeat. Hopefully, you will discover new loves!

It is not as easy as you think it would be finding 15ish shows to play in an hour show. I need variety, balance, something interesting to say, some news to impart, s'thing exciting to open with, s'thing dramatic to close, s'thing familiar, s'thing rare & they must work together

I had a wonderful weekend staying with a friend, the highlight of which had to be an evening @oldvictheatre.bsky.social I have truly fallen in love with their backstage bar and script library (I need something like this nearer to me) the production of A Christmas Carol was magnificent ❤️
