Backyard wildlife update: the gray squirrels quickly polished off the sunflower seeds in the jack-o-lantern feeders, but this lone chickadee still managed to find some seeds. It's been unusually warm here, so unfortunately I'm going to have to chuck the pumpkins, as they've thawed.

A thing you can do, if you like, is freeze whatever stew/chili you made lots of, and then when you feel like you're ready to have it again, you can defrost it, pour it into a baking dish, top it with drop biscuit dough, and bake it at 400F for half an hour or so and you have kind of a new meal.
