Scottish writer. Not sure about this at all.
I remember playing football in the park with my 5 y.o. and making sure I let him win. A few days later I heard him telling his friends in the school playground, 'You should see my mum playing football - she's RUBBISH.'

Oh, I have a story ... but the thread would take me all day. Visitors expected ... kitchen immaculate ... turned on new and very fancy coffee machine ... armageddon.

That'll be this weekend's job. What a rigmarole to have to go through, after the fact.

I once cut my hair myself when left alone with garden shears (I was 5). Was hauled off to the local hairdresser to have it dealt with. My mother told me I looked like a turnip.

It was a brilliant read. I know very little about classical music, but I don't feel that hampered my enjoyment of the novel.

I started in 2011. Still my favourite end-of-year ritual.

Had one of our best evenings ever there - at the opera, the night in 2006 that Italy won the world cup! The cheering outside got so loud the whole cast just came on stage and sang the National anthem as the lights swept over the arena in red, white and green. Fabulous.

Good grief!

I usually switch off the minute Farage gets air time, but this was really worth listening to. The sheer naked, weasely loathsomeness. You could tell her wanted to punch the reporter. Astonishing, though, that 'is he a racist' is even a debate.

Oh, that's amazing, Steve 🙂

I prefer to draw a veil over such matters.

I was once at a lunch with the actual Ena Baxter (although she was very far away on the other side of a big table, but still).

I may have had a wee tin of Mrs Baxter's minestrone myself the other day ...
