I personally love more generic type of settings. I feel like when it comes to “generic fantasy” there are different aesthetics that match whatever variation of fantasy you like. However, how it is flavored should be a group effort and should not be entirely on the GM.

Mid maxing is so fun to do too. But characters really do need flaws to be interesting. I love how failure is apart of the fun. 🤩
