Bene Gesserit lackey | Númenórean deserter

The bestselling book in history they say. Plot is mid (the chosen one trope is too obvious but hey it’s the OG?), too many unnecessary details, and the last chapter is a cliffhanger.

Dare I say that in the year of our lord 2025 I still haven’t seen Oppenheimer yet?

It’s how the original books focusing more on House Atreides more than anything. But if you’re interested on House Corrino, Brian Herbert-KJA wrote a specific book about it…

Once they can make robot with LADS Sylus’ skin and face and body and hair, it’s bye bye for flesh and blood men, let women embrace this delicious, delirious relationship with machines. Butlerian Jihadists can suck human saggy balls.

Can someone do tests peacefully without their mom barging in like an overbearing Harkonnean women?

That’s all, I guess. I’m certainly entertained by this show. Love it even though it’s not perfect & many aspects felt rushed. I’m happy with most of the actors’ performances & super psyched to see what’s in store for S2. MORE DUNE!!!

Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, and all: te amo ❤️🪱

• It’s interesting that the final episode was titled ‘The High-Handed Enemy’ which is a term used to refer to Gom-Jabbar (we saw one in this episode). But it could also refer to the hooded figure who altered Desmond’s body? A Bene Tleilax perhaps? That means Desmond is a ghola? 🤷🏻‍♂️ many possibilities…

• Tula and Desmond. I felt nothing about Desmond’s parentage revelation (if I had a cent for every time someone is someone’s child, yada, yada…) but the scene of Desmond’s face split between longing & anger when Tula hugged her made me shed my rare desert tear a bit. Mummy issue has been addressed!

• What a sight to witness when Valya utilized the Voice to battle the proto-Sardaukar! Chilling~

And the origin of the Litany Against Fear, well… Although many think it’s too literal (because they would use it to fight fear-based virus), I can understand that the dogma gotta start somewhere, right?
December 29, 2024 at 8:57 PM
• Anyway, it’s so brazen of Valya to casually sit on the throne—serious offense worthy of a capital punishment. Yet Javicco was willing to overlook that, a testament on how frail his position in front of the Sisterhood was. Plus, his wife & Bashar had joined forces against him. Nobody respected him.
December 29, 2024 at 8:46 PM
• Raquella will fight Dorotea in order to dominate Lila. Both of them were blood related but they didn’t see eye to eye about Sisterhood’s vision. Raquella was more in line with Valya. This situation won’t end up well for Lila. Valya may lose control but Abomination is a no-no.
December 29, 2024 at 8:30 PM
• Valya Harkonnen & her gang’s acts to seize control and power of the Sisterhood was a jaw-dropping moment. Mind you they didn’t ask Dorotea’s clique to k!ll themselves—they simply asked them to ‘choose!’
It’s a matter of necessity to unite the order + house management thingy 😑
