In Mario Kart 8/Deluxe, the Dragon Driftway takes place on a giant dragon based on Gobblegut from Super Mario Galaxy 2. The full dragon is never seen in-game all at once. Here is the track model with everything but the dragon removed.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the Mini-Mario ability prevents music from changing properly in some cases. This can lead to a variety of unfitting music scenarios such as "Mournful Surfing", whereby Mario will surf joyfully at a sunny beach while tragic music is playing.
