11/20/2025: Here's a small part of a map for MOTHER:SoA, heavily inspired by The Dark Wasteland from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers Of The Sky. It's still unfinished, but I intend this to be one of the final locations in the fangame.

11/7/2025: @foxgalah.bsky.social 's character by the same name as an EarthBound style overworld sprite, which she requested around Christmas 2023. I posted this on YT around that time, so why not post this here?

Left sprite uses OG MOTHER 2 palette,

11/5/2025: Test background I made.

It takes so damn long to upload even short videos here lol.

Ixora and Tsubaki, the Roserades. These characters were actually created by another person who goes by FoxGalah (or @foxgalah.bsky.social ). She also created another character, Hyacinth, the Meowscarada. She has more information about them.

Seth, the Lucario. He is sort of an important character to the story, and has his own arc. This character was actually created by another person who goes by FishronCatSalty (or @FishronCatFurryBoi) on Youtube, who seems to be inactive now, so I'm not sure if he still wants him in the game or not.

Ren, a Nincada. He is the one who warns the player of the main conflict, similar to Buzz Buzz in EarthBound. Unlike Buzz Buzz, he doesn't die and remains a permanent party member.

Sushi, a Tatsugiri. She's sort of a Kumatora esc character. That's all I got for now.

I did reconsider some ideas for the protagonist Pokémon. First I thought Eevee with the idea of Eevee's evolutions being similar to the 8 Melodies of EarthBound. Another idea I had for a protagonist was Toxtricity, with the player given the choice of either one. I scrapped both for a different idea.

Here's an even earlier version of the start location, being the player's house. I don't know why, but I used 20x20 tiles for this instead of the traditional 16x16 tiles. This was fixed in my newer tilesets.

This room is still a WIP, along with the rest of the level, but there is an earlier version of it. Originally, MOTHER:SoA was supposed to have a top down perspective similar to MOTHER 3. Though I decided to go with the cavalier perspective the previous MOTHER games had because I liked those better.

11/4/2025: The first room in MOTHER:SoA. The player starts out trapped inside a cage in a room filled with them, to which the player breaks free and the game starts.

Status ailments can be inflicted on your character, which are taken from both MOTHER and Pokémon. represented by these orbs with accompanying icons and colors. They were originally banners that wrap around the side of the box, but that was scrapped as they blocked off the HP/PP counters.

The UI can have these alternative colors, or "flavors" as they're called in EarthBound. I made some new flavors for this fangame.

11/2/2025: This is what the UI for MOTHER:SoA will look like, along with the font. I tried to make a combination of the UI from MOTHERs 2 and 3. More info in the replies.

11/1/2025: The title of my fangame, MOTHER: Savior Of Arceus. It is an EarthBound fangame that is a crossover with Pokémon. This is the logo I made for the title screen. It has had many revisions, but I'm quite happy with the current results.

11/1/2025: Eve, a test player for MOTHER:SoA, my EarthBound fangame. She may or may not appear in the final game, but at one point she was supposed to be the protagonist. She is sometimes named Eva, but there is already an NPC in the game named Eva.
