Not to mention while the silicone stuff might be able to be made in bulk at a low price. A hand made piece of latex gear is a literal work of art!
One that myself (and presumably a lot of people) are more than happy to pay the premium for over mass produced crap.

The biggest difference I find, is that while this silicone & vinyl gear is easier to make in bulk it doesn't meet the quality and longevity of well maintained rubber/latex.
Plus as a rubberist silicone stuff just feels really unpleasant while latex / rubber looks and smells incredible 🤤
