I don't have enough friends to recommend games, and I wanted it to be games I have and really need to finish. Plus I lack the time to fit in what I have and then more, unless a good sale convinces me.

I started up Etrian Odyssey to check it out, and I feel this is the best descriptions for difficulty I've seen.
Normal is described as for those who enjoy overcoming trials. I feel that's what I look for more from difficulty. Not an extreme challenge or just for story, but just a wall to climb.

Not sure I showed this one off. I wanted something more permanent as I liked the Wandering Witch Elaina anime, and felt it was definitely too short. But I didn't know if I wanted the 20+ light novel yet. So I opted for the manga. Adds some stories, but still not sure about the LN.
