I'm so, so sorry. It must be hurting. Losing a best friend sucks. They are so much a part of our lives.
I just heard from my vet that my pup's cancer has spread and we are getting near the end. I have to remind myself this pain is worth the 12+ years together.

It's a lesson learned. My family obligation is done (senior parent has dementia and was moved to assisted living). This year did indeed settled my angst. It's time to go home.

I'm somewhere in between. I moved to NH a year ago to be with family and last winter sucked. But this summer here also sucks.
I'm heading back to Oregon where the climate is almost perfect. No snow - unless I drive there. And no humidity!

My three grandchildren live there, so I go all times of the year. But July/August is some serious torture for me. Even a few Christmases where too warm. I would love to live closer to them, but I think that heat and humidity will make me angry. All. The. Time. I hate being hot. 😄

I've never come across someone who had been there, too! Bridge Over Troubled Waters was amazing. Garfunkles perfect voice gave me goosebumps.

I love him (them). When I was 14 and visiting the west coast with family, I was fortunate enough to see Simon and Garfunkle live at the (old) Oakland Colliseum. I'll never forget we had front row (left), the moon was full... it was something out of a movie. 42 years later I remember it clearly.
