Processing that almost all of my romances have some kind of age gap even with no one having romanced Emmrich yet. My Bellara-mancer and my Lucanis smoocher are a decade younger; my main Davrin lover is in her cougar era a decade *older*. Honestly, life stages and good vibes.

shocker of shocker A Certain Demographic (TM) is the exact same bunch of folks who LOATHED Veilguard and completely tanked the game's reputation because it wasn't entirely about what they wanted (prompting thousands of "This is actually kinda good??" confused tweets/reddit posts later)

Games with guns / power fantasies sell better to A Certain Demographic (TM) who vocally & loudly demand games be about them. Since much of the executive/C-suite is often in the same demographic, they're happy to oblige.

The main reason Andromeda isn't as beloved is bc it's less of a power fantasy.
