We were there a few years ago. You can still take a tour down to the dwellings and during the tour you can walk through the dwellings and peer inside. There are also still wooden ladders to climb. It is an amazing place!

To be fair, WI legislators had to use this tactic first in 2011 when the GOP was testing out their tactics in Wisconsin. Illinois provided refuge then, too.

Hori horis are the absolute best gardening tool. They can be used to dig, weed , even cut through small saplings that pop up in the garden. They wouldn't make a great weapon, though.

Our yard was an old, worn out farm field. No worms, no topsoil. Composting and mulching with leaves did the trick!

This is a good tip for your egress window wells, as well. I am embarrassed by how many dead toads I found in ours at the end of the first summer we had it. Since I added a long stick ramp, there have been none.
