I love this episode because it is a nearly perfect example of the rhetorical appeals: ethos, logos, pathos. Data learns to employ them all to develop his argument on the planets. It’s a pivotal Data episode that is underrated.

Your defense of Archer was masterful. I feel like it needs to be typed out for all to review. Archer is not a war criminal. He did make ethically challenging decisions—even if he acted unethically (yet defensibly), that’s the point of Trek: to challenge our thinking.

I’d love to see Voyager versus Stargate ships!
