Puppy raised lovely Cookie for Guide Dogs and we're so proud of her becoming a working guide dog earlier this year. Her guide dog owner sent me these lovely photos as it will be her first Christmas with them. So thoughtful to do that. It really made my day!

Christmas Lights at the Botanics, Edinburgh was really... well, magical, despite the cold and rain. So well done & music was lovely too. My photos don't do it justice.

Yes, me too. Since this morning they've really been hit by the cold and fading fast but months of joy. I think it was Salvia viridis, possibly 'Blue Monday' and was a bright purple-blue at its best.

Lovely sunny day at Anstruther, Fife. The Scottish Fisheries Museum is a gem, 10 galleries, really well laid out and chock full of fascinating exhibits, art, photos, etc. Rounded off our visit with the best fish and chips.

Lived in Scotland 32 years but only since retirement finding time to really explore nearby. First visit to Rosslyn Chapel, founded 1446. Inside is extraordinary and beautiful. The visitor centre and staff are great. Will definitely revisit.

I don't go into the city too often now but I do like gliding on the tram into Edinburgh. It was lovely to see water flowing on Ross Fountain in Princes Street Gardens. A beautiful cast iron fountain, with cherubs, mermaids and nymphs, imported from France in 1872 and fully restored in 2017.

Dawyck Botanic Garden, Stobo, had a glorious tapestry of colours today. We try to visit monthly because it's such a special woodland garden and arboretum. It also has a great café & visitor centre with lovely people working there.

Lovely autumn visit to The Hermitage, Dunkeld. Dating back to the 18th Century, it is within Craigvinean Forest and looked after by The National Trust for Scotland.

Enjoying the company of a very beautiful & special weekend guest, boarding Guide Dog in training Cammock while her own puppy raiser is away. As our own girl has moved on to advanced training, it's so lovely to 'borrow' her for a while.

We recently spent a week in St. Davids and it was a lovely surprise to see the Lost Words Exhibition at Oriel y Parc Gallery & Visitor Centre. It was beautifully presented in display and sound and bilingual with Welsh poems too.

Beautiful autumnal colour at Dawyck Botanic Garden, Stobo. Many historically important magnificent trees. A tranquil setting, suitably part of the Silent Space Initiative.

Lovely visit to a favourite today, Explorers' Garden, Pitlochry, which celebrates Scottish plant hunters. Opened in 2000, this 6.5 acre woodland garden is a gem.
