it deserves most of the awards it won, i wish that other developers could also have gotten their deserved recognition. art and perhaps direction stick out to me as areas that actually e33 wasn't super strong in. awards should be meritocratic, however it didn't need to be nominated for everything.

final thoughts before i go to sleep is that while it, by most metrics, the game of the year it isn't a perfect game and i felt like it sweeping all the categories takes away from being able to celebrate what actually is beautiful about the game

the whole setup from beat's walkman to the escape itself had me speechless
