Ha! The top horizontal half is more brown and crispy. I ended up cutting the lasagna in half vertically. That way my parents and I each get to enjoy the coveted brown bits 🤣

I mostly followed the recipe, but made a few minor changes. Added about 1/4 lb of spicy Italian sausage to the ground beef mixture. Also, I added an egg & some freshly-ground nutmeg to the ricotta. Finally, I popped the dish under the broiler for a couple of minutes for more browning.
