Turns out inorganic and organic are a very different thing. Anyway stayed and helped and we finished super quick. The guys said I was a natural. Spotless facilities . #personalgrowth

Coming to the end of a month of digging. Three sites and two new Mesolithic flint scatters found and the occasional upper palaeolithic find in the periglacial scrunch.

Some days you dig a big hole to look at the geology and realise you've accidentally put your test pit in a big old ditch. Still found some buried soils and buried peat with the auger. Happy but broken.

The end of the first two weeks of a student dig in Wiltshire and this was my special find. A nice little Mesolithic core. Another two weeks with a new group of students on the same site so plenty more treasure to be had.
