Highlight of the French usage is I went to a typical Parisian bistro filled with only French people and I ordered boeuf bourguignon and was asked if I wanted white or red and I said “well I should have red but I prefer white” and the lady said you can have white wine with beef

Sat in a spot the waitress was holding for a party of 3 and thought she was asking me to leave but instead she moved me to my own little table for one, «pour la madame» and I love Paris and will always love Paris (fully out of my depth with grammar, I’m so sorry Madame Savery)
