There you have it! Surely there are other ways you can go with these character builds, but these feel very well-rounded. The further adventures of Dek and Thia would make for an awesome Starforged co-op campaign!

The post-movie version of Thia gets the Loyalist asset. I have to imagine that Weyland-Yutani will not leave well enough alone, so we'll swap in Fugitive in place of Bannersworn. Lots of cool adventure hooks there.

The post-movie version of Dek now has a companion, Bud (using a reskinned Rockhorn — it even includes the healing ability). I am swapping in Scavenger, since it reflects how Dek geared up when his tech was lost. Finally, he has his father's cloak, represented by the always-flexible Augmented asset.

As for Thia, we'll use the Sundered Isles Construct to represent their synthetic origin. Plus, Naturalist is a very appropriate asset for this planetary researcher out on their first field op. For now, they are loyal to Weyland-Yutani, so we'll add Bannersworn. I round them out with the Tech asset.

Dek is an outcast Yautja, estranged from his clan at the start of the movie. He is perceived as weak by his father, but is clearly a very capable character with a strong set of combat-focused assets.

It is! My fav of the 2020s. That one particular scene was one of the most rapturous things I've ever seen on film.

I helped make this: ironvault.quest if anyone wants to have a cool thing to journal out their Ironsworn/Starforged campaigns in.

The comments on that post from the publisher are something else. Showing their whole ass.

Very disappointing that UKGE is just letting things sit without comment or correction.

Lots of folks discovered it via Reddit, thanks to some kindly shout outs!

And, yeah, I'm just not sure if forums are coming back. For niche games, they are currently where conversation goes to die. I'll likely give it a try in a year or two when Discord tips well past the enshitification barrier.

Reddit is okay at getting clicks to something, I've found, but mostly only if it's organically shared by someone else.

Social networks used to be a way to get the word out. Not anymore. Bluesky is OK for just vibing with the community, but terrible for marketing.

I'm glad I have email lists.
