To my great relief, turns out the whole “women account for 80% of fiction sales, men so dumb they no read LOL” was bad data.

My gold standard for "intense, ADHD-paced, mindblowing stuff happens every other page" reading is a book called "Battle of the Linguist Mages" by @scotto.org , which remains imo unmatched, but I just finished "Mage Against the Machine" by @shaunbarger.bsky.social last night and it comes damn close
