My dad was an OG hipster bike dad (no e option in those days but I grew up in a completely flat relatively small town. Also no helmet options for kids so my parents got us hockey helmets. Note the towel behind us to protect from the scotching hot black plastic)

also you dont need to get divorced to buy one, a good old fashioned mid life crisis while you stay with your partner is another good option. 10 out of 10 recommend.
