more comfortable too, we got actual seats, whereas everyone not involved in the nativity was cross-legged on the hall floor with the parents in seats behind, only had to do that once when I was in Primary 2

Ours was cast from Primary1-3, so in P1 I was the stable boy (on floor beside crib with fluffy lamb, kept breaking fourth wall by waving at folk). P3 I had ascended to the role of Archangel Gabriel. After that P4-7, played descant recorder then treble recorder for the carols during the nativity

On TV: "Interesting People" if only for Keith Maniac from Guatemala
On vinyl: close second place for "Gumby Theatre presents Checkov's Cherry Orchard" from Another MP Album

But nothing beats "Background to History" from Matching Tie and Handkerchief ♫♪ There's Ev-I-Dence♪♫

yep "Scalped". Totally love crown court, Just have to hear "Distant Hills" and I'm whisked back to watching it at my Grannys accompanied with a big bowl of homemade soup and a banana sandwich to keep me quiet while my gran watched it religiously

My favourite bit of Crown Court trivia, one episode was written by Cliff from Cheers. John Ratzenberger co-wrote an ep in 1978 as he was based in the uk at the time, along with fellow US actor Ray Hasset (who played the cop killed by Luthor in Superman). It stars William Hootkins and John Bird

Someone's never been to a Scottish wedding with a good Ceilidh band.
Major tip at Ceilidhs - Alway go to the bar when they announce that the next dance is the Orcadian Strip the Willow. Its far too complex for people that are well pished.

The NES was a novelty robot in a glass box in Boots and £30 cartridges, which you would look at before turning round and buying a budget game for speccy, c64 or cpc for £3 or £10 for a big box game. The closest the Uk came to a crash was when Imagine went bust mid-BBCdocumentary

It'd be Mrs Goldberg for the Americans. Just noticed the Rube Goldberg wiki page mentions Wallace from W&G's machines on its In Media bit but then admits they had fuck all to do with Goldberg and were all inspired by W Heath Robinson

Holy crap that website is a goldmine for locked away memories. Just spotted these, forty years ago I had Road-Runner and Tweety on the headboard of my bed, I remember my Mum taking ages putting them on carefully as they were really large (approx 12cm by 8cm)
