Again I wanna do a number of redesigns so I can just fully understand and show my thoughts on it since character design is something I'm passionate about. 😅

Also some of these gimmicks do work, but I think it's the fact they did it multiple times with literally nothing different that kinda rubbed me the wrong way with it.

It's not like all the designs are shit. But a large amount of them follow the same "directly reference the pre-evo by having the mega look exactly Iike it" or barely changing anything. That being said there's still a lot of them that are so incredibly cool!

I love being emotionally invested in fictional characters the right way. I'll never forget the heartbreak myself and other fans felt when our favourite died or the comfort they bring me, or the opposite, the love of writing the most despicable evil villains because it's fiction, it's fun. 😌

But ofc with a talking dog because you can have both!
