Just a lurker, lurking, occasional screaming into the void.
Not sure how “all your activities, schools, jobs are doing food related Cinco De Mayo things so we should no do tacos tonight” turned into making burritos AND taco salad. 🤷‍♀️

Forever ago in my art classes my professors said never use the word “picture” because in the Midwest we pronounce it “pitcher” and now I’m in a plant class showing photos and the instructor is saying pitcher every example.

I am 99% sure I am the only one noticing.

In a plant class and there is an image of a terrible looking plant, they ask if this were on a freebie table would you take it home?

YES! I’ve paid for plants looking worse. 😳🤣

This class is calling me out.

Downsides of getting 3 kittens for 3 kids from the same litter. The kids doted on them and now the they can’t nap on their own. This one is the worst. He follow me around yelling until I sit with him so he can nap.

The people civil servants getting fired should continue going to work until they stop paying them. This is just like the Twitter firings where no one knew what was was happening and people were still being paid but supposedly terminated.

These cats and their fountain! The new one shut off because it was getting low on water. They sat in front of it staining at me. The other was was still working next to it. Now they must both be fully operational at all times or I’m getting cat mutiny.

My kids are watching an Oversimplified video about the Columbine Massacre. I’m like oh look one of the many collective traumas of millennials. That many of us watched and then went to school the next day like nothing happened. And some people wonder why we all have therapists.

Charlie Angus Canadian MP today on @cnn.com: “Dealing with Trump like dealing with Al Capone in his syphilitic period.” I KNEW there was a perfect way to describe it, thanks for the words @charlieangus104.bsky.social Cheers from the still Canada-nice part of the midwest!

As an American I approve the petty move of pulling American made alcohol off shelves. I’m so proud of my northern neighbors. Team Canada!

This is crucial reporting from @katherinejwu.com.

Among the data being scrubbed is “the agency’s AtlasPlus tool, which contains nearly 20 years of CDC surveillance data on HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, and tuberculosis…”

One of the cats went up to the dog and unprovoked bit the dog on the leg. Dog reacted, cat hissed and ran away. Other dog chased cat, cat went in a box. Then other dog scolded cat by hollowing. Then other cat gets in the middle of this by laying on the floor and rolling around like look at meeee.

It's not "politicizing a tragedy" to point out the top levels of the federal government aren't functional—the three key leaders here are drunk rapist TV show host at DoD, reality TV star at DoT, and nobody at FAA—and they're doing squat except spreading the same dysfunction down the ladder.
REPORTER: Is there an acting FAA director?

DUFFY: *walks away*

(The FAA director resigned on the day of Trump's inauguration under pressure from Elon Musk)

Doing some light reading today since my (D) elected officials want to keep voting in unqualified nominations.

I’m petty and meticulous.

My cat’s lives can be complete again. The water pump replacement showed up and I fixed their fountain. They sat by it for a few hours after it was operational.
