Please everyone, especially in the press, I beg of you, read George Lakoff. If you don’t understand how the words and framing you use directly impact people’s neurocognition then at this point you’re acting irresponsibly. There is too much at stake here—our freedom, our safety—you must do better.

This is the type of thing that just digs the tracks deeper in peoples brains. We need the media to stop catering to the lies and start shouting the truth otherwise people will forget what is real and what isn’t. I’m so ashamed of them for using their powerful platform to do this. Do better.

I get they think they’re stating the truth because he’s runs our health organizations but even saying he’s “in science” just validates his terrible and dangerous decisions. He’s in a position of government he shouldn’t be in. He’s not in science. These are very different things.
