I strongly suspect shutting down USDS and 18F was about securing the Doggie-boyz digital coup, since USDS and 18F were supporting everyone else with, amongst other things, protocols and procedures designed to block insider attacks.

NatCon-ism basically diagnoses a lot of issues that are sort of true-ish, then as the solution proposes to make them worse. eg, ‘America has a crisis of worsening social trust, which we will solves by screaming that every pro-social institution is woke and gay’
