I can't stay because I need to finish a project that has missed the deadline because the tech won't work right. Have a good chat.

Pick up the nearest book. Turn to page 42 and post the second sentence.

"Interestingly, a recent study disproved this myth by showing that the acid level in just about all tomato varieties lies within a very narrow range. "

“Hindley named a fiddle, and then he asked Miss Cathy; she was hardly six years old, but she could ride any horse in the stable, and she chose a whip.”

I've been working on a deadline, so I missed the #FreelanceFriends chat today. Looked like a good one. I'll have to review it later. Oh, and maybe should have a #FreelanceFriendsGarden chat (just kidding). I'm starting seeds this weekend and have been working on seed selection for this year.

I thought tech was supposed to save me time and make more efficient. 2 hours in I'm still a long way from being done with what I thought was a quick, easy task and the reason it's taking so long is the freaking tech.

I've termed "side quests" as those unexpected things that pop up and suck away your time. They can even present themselves when it's a scheduled thing. I bring this up because I've sure had a ton of side quests over the last year, which helps explain so much.

It just hit me today that I need to start onion seeds sometime in the next couple of weeks. And so it starts again.

Dear Denver Broncos Offense,

You only show up for maybe one quarter a game and it's infuriating. In short, you're horrible. HORR-I-BLE. You're a liability to the team, and if I were the defense, I would code red you.

Sincerely,

A Lifelong Fan

When you don't have home field advantage, you have to win at home. Take 3 of 4 in Toronto seems like a long shot. We'll see what happens but it's hard not to see the Jays getting some rings this year.
October 30, 2025 at 4:03 AM
Not surprised by tonight's result. I expect Snell to play better tomorrow. I'm guessing it will be a close game, with the play of the bullpens being the deciding factor unless one of the starters plays lights out. I think the Jays have a little edge going into Game 5.
October 29, 2025 at 4:57 AM
I'm thinking the Jays have the edge with Ohtani pitching today after playing 18 last night. We're now 2-0 in 18 inning World Series games but we're 0-2 in games in the World Series after winning an 18 inning game.
October 28, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Winning four games in a row would be great, but it's highly improbable. More realistically, the Dodgers need to win 2 of 3 at home to have a shot to win this series. I feel like the Jays have the edge tonight. Historically, Scherzer has been much better in the playoffs compared to Glasnow.
October 27, 2025 at 4:30 PM
This series isn't that hard to figure out. It's the Dodgers starting pitching vs the Jays lineup. If the Dodgers starting pitching is on, they'll win. If it's not, the Jays will win. There are a lot of other things in there but that's the key to the series.

4. The smug cheater. I dislike him with the power of a million suns.
October 25, 2025 at 2:34 AM
My gut tells me that it's going to play out the exact opposite of how it went for the Dodgers last year.

I need to get my hands on some Captain Lucky, Polish Bling, and Rufus Rainbow tomato seeds.
October 24, 2025 at 7:12 PM
I know the media is pushing this David vs Goliath narrative, but it's complete nonsense. And if I remember right, they overwhelmingly picked a team other than the Dodgers from the NL to get to the World Series, so how is it that they're Goliath now? They're a one seed. We're a three.

I started doing what I thought was a quick and easy refresh on an article that's now turned into a project. There are sections that are completely out of date, and it's also tied to a resource I created, which means the resource needs to be updated as well. Quick and easy is out the window.
