You know when you are in a movie and there are so many previews about movies on a bunch of different topics and you almost forget what movie you are there to see…that is what it feels like watching this trump speech (and really any trump speech)

Kelly: He runs around on stage talking about lethality and the warrior ethos.. That’s not the message that should be coming from the Secretary of Defense… He runs around on a stage like he’s a 12 year old playing army. It’s embarrassing.

A place near and dear to my heart, umkumuit, a small fishing village near Toksook Bay, has been destroyed. It was where I had my c3 culture camp that introduced me to Alaska and made me decide to make alaska my home and do my best to teach the amazing students in the YK Delta..

western Alaska got hit big time with a Typhoon. I live western Alaska, and these photos are where I am at, just high wind damage. I am lucky compared to coastal villages. Some villages have houses floating with people in them.

At least 20 people are unaccounted for in Kwigillingok, in the Y-K Delta as of Sunday morning, and several homes were flooded and carried away by the remnants of Typhoon Halong - the worst storm on record.

Damage is still being assessed along the coast of Western Alaska

Ok, so now Jen Psaki is not on her program on @msnbc.com tonight, either.

Feeling really nervous, now.
Usually @maddow.msnbc.com @chrislhayes.bsky.social are posting several times a day especially on busy news days. Looking back at their accounts it's been very silent. @allinwithchris.bsky.social is being helmed by the very capable @jacobsoboroff.bsky.social.

Frankly, the silence is freaking me out.

These survivors and their family members are stronger and more courageous and better at speaking publicly than the overwhelming majority of people in public office. This is so incredibly powerful.
