Honestly? I think this is about privacy and power not the actual contents so much. For all his bluster, Trump keeps his private life private. Plus, talking about any of this implies he could not or should not have done it. But he can do anything. Mix that together and it all makes sense.

They can overrule his veto. But it means most of Congress is on board and would represent a tectonic shift away from the Pres.

I don't disagree. Intervention here could look like tweaking the constant C to a value of interest. Or Planck's constant. Or literally all of it could have been decided by the "English" put on whatever cue ball kicked this party off.

As an atheist this tracks. God is supposedly omniscient. Surely he can play the N dimensional chess needed to start the universe and give it just enough spin to make it how they wanted. Could intervene when needed to keep it on track. The laws of physics are the rules to their game.

He could in theory serve 2 years of Vance's term which would force the 2030 mid terms to actually be a new Presidential election.

This is the military leaders resisting. Refusing to follow orders. All they can do is say no and then resign if the order is legal (enough). Hopefully that gives the ones left the courage to also say no.

The whole point of taking and making the punishment public is to embarrass the masses and therefore the government to act. Exposing the unjust means people need to see it. Quiet, unseen acts rarely change anything.
