Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

I find myself listening to a lot of Leonard Cohen these days—a prophet of our times. Saw all this coming from a long way off. As actual prophets will do. Say what you like, he was a very sharp individual. He was smart enough to check out a decade ago when all this started happening.
You know, if Trump is busy moving massive naval assets into the Caribbean, the North Atlantic, or off the coasts of Brazil & Argentina (to protect/liberate some of “favorite dictators” there) would that be a favor to Russia or China? If our forces are deployed there, we lose strategic deterrence.

I have so much inside I just can’t say in prose. Putting things in poetry helps me get it out. And instead of issuing a stream of cursing & invective, I put it all in verse.
