The Academy not even nominating the best score of the year two years in a row (Challengers, Marty Supreme) is a troubling trend, especially considering that they were also probably the most unique scores of the year and heavily deviated from your traditional orchestral movie-score fare

I felt like I was in a simulation when I stepped outside my hotel in NYC to see a huge Regal and AMC facing each other, watched Marty Supreme, walked the block and chanced upon Sardi's, whose existence I only learned about from Blue Moon earlier this year.
