I wish American politicians had the whit that Canadian politicians have. It's a treat watching Canadian debates.

How's his French coming along?

Who's the dude holding the crack pipe?

I like colourful lights

3 layers, eh? Is it really that cold in Seattle?

The unfortunate thing is it does follow Apple's stupid idea of not including a headphone jack, so if you use wired earbuds get a dongle. Another dumb idea it took from Apple is that it is glass backed, so you'll need a phone case. I wish I could buy this phone right now, but I'm currently broke.

It doesn't have a terabyte like iPhones currently do, but it does have 128GB which is a good amount of storage for a contemporary phone, it has 8GB of RAM & it supports 5G.

You came on my thread. If I was on your thread I assure you the conversation would not be strung along so bloody long.

I didn't come up with the name Anglish & I'm not being racist. There are people who appropriate runes for hate & there are people who genuinely enjoy it for its linguistic history.
October 1, 2025 at 5:51 PM
I do the same thing, but not for multiple days.
October 1, 2025 at 12:16 AM
Well an Anglish speaker would simply call them cow meat, pig meat & sheep meat. That's how it's done in German & I like it because it's blunt. It negates the shock of kids finding out where meat comes from. I never worried about how cows feel because I've always seen them as food.

Why do you like bickering so much? Surely a professional would have better things to do.

If you like mixing in more French in your English then go for it. Nobody's stopping you.
September 30, 2025 at 8:12 PM
It is possible & some people do. It's a dialect called Anglish.

Tail mark is more self explanatory, but I appreciate you telling me the proper name.
September 30, 2025 at 10:32 AM
It's not about literacy. It's about a difference in vocabulary. Snobbish rich people mix in more French because they think it makes them seem exotic & superior.
September 30, 2025 at 10:21 AM
This shows exactly what I've been saying. Much of those aren't really integrated into English outside of jargon or rich people speaking French to sound fancy. Also that source missed the tail mark in façade.

The one English word I can think of that's rooted in Latin is lunar.
September 29, 2025 at 7:49 PM
For the French words there's château, naïve, réservoir & résumé. How often do you use words like that? Meanwhile our common words like water, all, light, white, green & red are all rooted in German. We even have some less used German words like doppelgänger, zeitgeist & poltergeist.
September 29, 2025 at 7:49 PM
That’s all you have to say. What do you have to show for it? I have yet to see any evidence for your claim that the biggest chunk of English comes from Latin.
September 29, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Our conversation shows that I'm the only one doing research. All you have is hearsay & opinion.
