I didn't believe I could actually write space opera. I doubted myself for so many reasons. But I had a literal dream that needed to be written, and here I am 64,000 words in, and I actually like it. It's a female character driven military/spaceopera/scifi/body horror elements and possibly more.

Broke 30000 words in feminist speculative fiction/scifi. Daunting lifting my head above parapet a new genre with what could be an unpopular plot. All my books have this edge but coming out and saying the focus could alienate. Romantasy, it is not, but the full range of emotion is explored ##booksky
