It's still weird not opening November with the first words of a new book. I do know I could still do it but I have too many unfinished, unpolished books that need to get wrapped up before I start a new one.
(also: I'm terrible at social media - much better lurker than poster)

My town is having a disability awareness and independence week. There was an art show Monday, events Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and today is a poetry afternoon. I'm here with poems, just in case. Not really good at reading in personbut, I have it just in case.

I made a gnat away spray for market day today. I can see them in other booths, but there have been way way fewer in mine this week. I'll take that as a win.

Found my favorite ever teacher on social media. It seems an inactive account but I don't care overmuch. Got to write the thank you letter I should have written in high school. He made the awful years a bit brighter. If he sees it, super yay. If not, I put those words out into the universe anyway.

I wasn't paying enough attention and missed bluepit, akin to the icky place's pitmad. Sigh. Welp, now I know to watch for it!

Today's farmers market is a little slow but there's a great breeze. I've been asked dozens of times this year if my business is named after a real place(Crow's Hollow) so I think I might just have to write a book there... #writing #inspo #farmersmarket

My patchouli is looking pretty happy today. I started her from a seed about 4 years ago, and we had a bit of a struggle along the way, but she loves her new pot (with proper drainage). I know she's not everyone's cuppa but I love her.

It's hot and muggy at the market on doing today but I got to deliver the special order wreath I did so I'm happy. I don't get to make them often as they are miserable to ship.

chng.it/xMwCGvC7sL I don't know that the petitions do much but it's a thing we can do beyond making the calls/sending the emails (especially as, where I'm at, none of the representatives care to hear any of it and send naught but platitudes and excuses).

Sculpting mushies and I've got one amanita that just doesn't want to cooperate. Bah. I did have a great idea for a wearable bleeding tooth fungus with purple garnets but I'm just not sure there's an actual market for that particular fungus. Do you think it's just a step too far?

I think I've got the ending for my Appalachian folk horror book... now I've just got to write it. I think having direction in this case, even just sort of, well help get the foundation just so... maybe I'll get some words tonight, after painting.
