Working from home and performing some 'light' data analysis using WiFi. 2020 me would never contemplate such an act. Besides speed issues I would be getting nervous about timeouts and corrupt data. Not anymore!

Hometown highlight - castle hill. Cameras are getting good at enhancing pictures but the sky really did look like that!

Found this at my parents place and it is still shrink wrapped! It's now clearly from a different age but DIGE is probably still the best way to quantitatively analyse proteoforms on a proteome level. Maybe get a gel picker/digestion robot off eBay and hook it up to a 500 SPD system?

My 8yr old was debating which pens he should take to school today (this is a fraction of his collection). He (and so of course me) might have a problem....

This paper does an excellent job of describing their approach using robust relevant metrics. They indicate strengths and weaknesses of both common data acquisition approaches as well software solutions. It's refreshing to see an objective assesment not a bombastic salespitch! see this conclusion!

One of the reviewers for the NHS-TMT paper made a point of saying methylamine was a controlled substance in the US. Somebody just sent me this...tense scene and then I was taken out. Haha

Should I be flattered? Does Meta owe me money now? Should I be upset that journals have lost money? Is this LLM now able to predict a (maybe garbled) version of my future research plans?

Check for yourself!

Got chatgpt to have a go. It looks crap but to be fair this is what it would look like if dell attempted to actually make a prodigy firestarter laptop. Also it would be $5000 dollars and have a mid graphics card that would be underpowered due to bad thermals. Fine for maxquant and msfragger.
