Less than 45 minutes after President Donald Trump thanked the National Guard "for a job well done!" Mayor Karen Bass clarified on social media "the National Guard has not been deployed in the City of Los Angeles."

Mike Lawler: "We don't want to be straight up accepting any type of gift from any foreign government, certainly not one that can be viewed in a way that obviously has been presented here."
