Well you certainly won’t get that from any of the other parties. Those universities lucky enough to survive the present government works need to very lucky indeed to survive another.

When Labour put the abolition of student fees into their 2017 manifesto, they calculated that it would cost just over £11 billion. That, even given inflation, would easily be covered just by stopping HMT’s covering the BoE’s interest-payments on commercial bank deposits.
