'Fascism seeks to organize the proletarianized masses without touching the property relations that those masses are so urgently trying to abolish. Fascism sees its salvation in allowing the masses to find their voice (not, of course, to receive their due).'

Remember that your existential fear and collapsing society must not distract you from contributing your labor to the progress of the torment nexus.

Stay professional.

Can you write RPGs if you don't like roleplaying?
I feel uncomfortable when role-playing, but as a writer and game designer, the space seems intriguing..

In other news; does anyone share my headcannon of the Alien and Avatar series belonging to the same universe, by connection through Blade runner?

I believe in Na'vi Xenomorphs, soon.

Yesterday I had the displeasure of realizing that there is such a thing as an 'arrogant' rulebook.

In theory, all rules were contained in it, but it made minimal effort to explain them.

The result was a game played completely wrong, even though, in the end, it somehow felt like my own fault.

This is sad beyond words. The total loss of scope and meaning... what is left, when we allow this?
Kids that want to die - What the fuck, world, what the fuck. Go on with your fucking power politics.

"I think we should shed the idea that AI is a technological artifact with political features and recognize it as a political artifact through and through. AI is an ideological project to shift authority and autonomy away from individuals, towards centralized structures of power."

Exactly.

Had my first ever block today.. feels weird 🤷 I'm like 99% sure I was of the same opinion as the blocker, but since the response was just 'block', that will remain unknown.

Any good children movies that are thoroughly not-scary?
Totoro, Ponyo and Ratatouille was too much. Kiki's delivery is okay (other than the magpies).
Help needed! I can't peppa pig anymore and bluey doesn't work...

Sooo, anyone know any publishers who like 2 player games, and aren't scared away by political and conflict themes? (Not full con-sim/wargame).

I really like the term 'complexity budget' as it perfectly sums up what you need to consider when new and shiny mechanism ideas pop up.

Just a terrible shame that I'm fundamentally bad at economics...

"The real danger to civilization isn’t superintelligent AI, says sci-fi author Ted Chiang. It’s runaway capitalism."

I remember reading this article a few years ago, and it still sounds quite relevant.

A great day is when you have playtests of two different games and you get the sense that you are nailing the intended game feel!

Title ideas wanted! Any good suggestions for a 2 player civilisation card game? 45 min-ish, multi-use cards and somewhat classical civilisation so far (Rome, Egypt, Persia and Abbasid caliphate). No suggestions are too bad!
