Sorry for linking back to FB, but I really wanted to share my conductor photo from this post.
I'm stoked with it, it's one of my best photos from the TSO to date and it'll be hard to top!

Finally pulled my camera out again.
The first photo is a long exposure, 3s, of the reef in front of my hotel room. The processing, the colours and textures, are mildly inspired by Keith Lane, a Tasmanian painter.
The other photo is from on the beach near my hotel room, looking towards the surf break

Years ago, I used to work in the #pilbara , working on pipeline projects. I'd carry my camera with me everywhere, which wouldn't be tolerated these days. Shooting #industrial portraits always results in interesting photos.

Shooting industrial and construction has its challenges, but a long lens is normally enough to keep me out of trouble!

Over a decade ago, working on a wharf construction job in Dampier, Western Australia, our morning prestart was interrupted by a pair of biffing kangaroos.
The photos here are out of order, sorry, but they started before the sun broke the horizon and continued on as the light improved.

My one good idea for 2025 is to have a YouTube style site for live streaming webcams set up around bird baths, feeders, fish cameras like the one at weerdsluis lock.
There seems to no site that collates and curates all the wildlife and environmental webcams.

A woodland nymph appears on a dry creek bed.

Shot in the natural light of Snug, Tasmania.

This is a focus stacked macro of some stained glass corn I grew last summer.
There's 38 photos in this stack, to achieve that sharp detail most of the way through the depth of the image.
#funfact about this corn, it makes tasty popcorn and maize flour.
