I like "preparation" in storytelling. Seeing a character eat before an adventure, equip armor, or focus their mind for casting magic feels so grounded.
It shows a character isn't always ready for battle and I think that's important.

I'm utilizing the "fighting followers" plugin by AquaEcho aquaecho.itch.io/rpg-maker-mv...
This did take some work though, because at first the party members were a bit "RAVENOUS" for battle.
