Unfortunately our quaint traditional regional codes don’t result in quaint regional architecture — process like this of it ever came up would be a great time to advocate for natural building materials or whatever else

I wonder how much of the concerns are in response to tall towers with sheet glass facades (in which case I’m assuming your recommendation wouldn’t really apply? But idk)

From what I can tell, the only way Cambridge’s program is “funded” is through density bonuses. It’s zoning and artificial scarcity all the way down
