Got a new cassette tape converter and getting around to some thrifted tapes. One simply labeled “Yellow” on one side and “White” on the other is a learning to read program with music and “turn the page” style instructions… but some kid recorded over the beginning his notes for Chemistry.

As a software engineer, I can’t tell you the joy in reorganizing code and discovering duplicate methods or taking highly specific code, coupled to one structure, then templatizing it out for general use. Just warms the soul.

I love the erudite essays on YouTube breaking down various topics using words rarely heard in dive bars. I would love to make a video in that style for a weird VHS tape, “Shoji defiantly balances cultural racism and octogenarian malaise. His Engrish accent used as both ballast and ammunition…”

Pretty excited about this latest feature! Time will vary but it was doing a bang up job at about 8 mins per hour of video. And that was on my oldish M1 Mac Mini.
Just finishing final touches on a new feature: commercial break detecting and clipping! Break out each and every commercial from a video with a click of a button! Video detailing it and app update shortly.

How long before the next generation thinks all these steel kitchen appliances are as antiquated as the 80’s saw the drab greens, yellows and oranges of 70’s kitchens? Cars and appliances are so boring in grey tones now that I feel like we are due for color explosions to devalue steel kitchens.
