The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will abandon its established practice of calculating the economic benefits related to human health in the process of setting air pollution limits. Only the economic costs to industry will be taken into account.

Climate change, @copernicusecmwf.bsky.social data show that 2025 was the third warmest year on record, only marginally (0.01°C) cooler than 2023, and 0.13°C cooler than 2024, the warmest year on record. The past 11 years have been the 11 warmest on record.

Ethiopia last year banned the import of new gasoline-powered cars. Nepal reduced import duties on EVs so much that they are now cheaper than cars with internal combustion engines. Brazil raised tariffs on car imports to compel Chinese automakers to set up plants inside Brazil. Etc
