He knew then that he would dedicate his scientific life to QM.

He also describes feeling "schizophrenic" between Einstein and quantum mechanics, and that he had no choice but to rely on an experiment to decide between the two!

The authors conclude: Our impression is that autism-microbiome research is an example of a field that has generated its own momentum, with no sense of a “stop rule” and without necessarily going anywhere.

How many other research fields fit this general description?

I am amazed that the authors managed to write and publish it without citing a single relevant study from our laboratory. It is certainly an achievement that must have required considerable effort on their part 🙂
