We're disappointed to see Ben Barres's powerful book "The Autobiography of a Transgender Scientist" among the ~400 titles removed from the Naval Academy Library. Needless to say, we're proud to have published his book and will keep it — and his memory — alive.

Re-organizing is a strong word but I'm moving the vinyl around today based on what I do & don't actually play (distinct from listening habits in other media). Went to grab a stack & heard a clear voice in my head saying:
"Do NOT turn your back on The Grateful Dead."

It's always been a little controversial to be Into The Grateful Dead, but it's also always been Very Hip to be Into The Grateful Dead... which I learned playing bass on tour with a heavy rock band out of L.A. Last thing I expected to hear in the van.
