We just played a six round game of Koi-Koi and we might be a bit obsessed.
We started out laughing at all the terms in the rules but we got into it after one round. This push-your-luck game lets you sit with your overconfident decision for rounds, hoping your opponent doesn't get lucky.

Errata: somehow we didn't log L'oaf by @bartgamedesign.bsky.social. L'oaf is not only great, the player markers are top 10 best screen printed pieces of all time. Go play L'oaf!

Even though we logged 40 plays, it's probably our 'worst' October in years. During Spiel we played less than normal as our hotel didn't have a lobby.
Best new games were Sardegna, 3 Witches, Dino Dynasty and A Wild Venture. All smaller games surprised us with their choices and depth. #bgstats

Even though we logged 40 plays, it's probably our 'worst' October in years. During Spiel we played less than normal as our hotel didn't have a lobby.

Not only did they use wood from their region for the components in the game. When we asked how they got the raised wooden floor in the hall they told us they just bought the wood and built it on the spot!

Every year we meet Petr Vojtěch from Pink Troubadour, Rhado's just named his game Terra Futura his top 91 game of all time!
He and Jindřich Pavlásek (right) have a new game coming out next year we'll look forward to seeing him again next year to continue our tradition. 😁

We briefly met @eanderssonsunden.bsky.social who was signing his new family game "The Glorious Guilds of Buttonville" of which the English version is coming out early next year from Ravensburger.

We talked to @hopefulgames.bsky.social for an hour and they showed us how Neon Hope is coming along. It's an exciting storytelling card game (think Arkham Horror LCG) and it's not afraid to get political in its story and fluff texts.

We talked to @hopefulgames.bsky.social for an hour and they showed us how Neon Hope is coming along. It's an exciting storytelling card game (think Arkham Horror LCG) and it's not afraid to get political in its story and fluff texts.

We finally met @tokengaymer.bsky.social! Wise Wizard has a slew of new releases ranging from the 10 year anniversary edition of Star Realms, to Pack The Essentials a cat-themed polynomino game.
We're excited to start our Star Realms Legacy campaign and try Elemystic, a 9 card(?!) duelling game.
