Oh yeah, I did forget to post my JLPT results. I didn't take the N5, jumped straight into N4. I definitely could have studied more efficiently, but for the longest time it was difficult to dip my toes into native content. Now it's getting a lot easier, so I'm able to put more time into it. Onwards!

Today I finished reading 世界から猫が消えたなら, which is my third full book (not manga) in Japanese. It was a bit of a slow start, but towards the last few chapters, it just gripped me. Certain moments had me absolutely bawling.

Today I finished reading 世界から猫が消えたなら, which is my third full book (not manga) in Japanese. It was a bit of a slow start, but towards the last few chapters, it just gripped me. Certain moments had me absolutely bawling.

I always find it weird that if you argue against AI on a purely technical level, you get the AI bros going full ham in your replies, arguing hypotheticals etc. But when you draw out the empathy side of things, suddenly no one has anything to say, it's just downvotes. AI bros are weird.

Along with 8 hours driving! I think I did better on the vocab section, as expected on the grammar section, but I found my mind wandering in the listening section. Not bad enough to fail (probably) but we'll see in late January!
Last day prepping for the JLPT N4 tomorrow. I think as long as I take it steady and don't rush, I should be fine. I noticed on the practice tests, if I rushed, my grammar section suffers a bunch, but if I take my time, things look much better. Wish me luck!

I also started playing Kingdom Hearts in Japanese too. Surprisingly, a lot of the language is pretty straightforward. The only thing is any text that self-closes is WAY too quick for me. Also, fun fact, Final Mix is English dubbed in Japanese. Only the original release was JP dubbed (ﾟДﾟ*)ﾉ

Man, this last month has felt stupid hectic cuz of work, but since things slowed down in the last week or so, I jumped back into manga, and just zoomed through the first 3 volumes of 薫る花は凛と咲く. It's kinda refreshing how it handles relationships as straightforward as it does.
Today, I finished my first LN in Japanese. At the start, it was a struggle to get through half a chapter in one sitting. By the end, I was finishing two chapters in a sitting. Overall I spent a little over 14 hours on it! くま クマ 熊 ベアー isn't anything over the top or outrageous, but I enjoyed it!

Man, I've been reading an LN and they use 格好(かっこう), meaning appearance, a lot. Just had the shower thought for the phrase "かっこういい", turns out it is "格好いい", so like, good looking, looking good, to mean "cool".
