I'm seemingly in a permanent state of some kind of malaise. Like a Victorian child urchin. With an immune system full of soot. I mean, you did live on the Victoria line. Very funny. No but really, is it such a surprise? You know you don't look after yourself. You need some kind of third-party to keep you in check with your health. Ever since you've moved, how many hot meals have you had? Can't you count them on two hands? Okay, but there's some reasoning behind that. Not enough space is not good reasoning. It isn't? And the exercise - you've only managed to go to the gym independently for what, 3 months? And that was with your highest dosage of SSRIs? Sigh. I suppose that's true too. So where do you go from here? I don't know. I'm still stuck in a rut. It's - trouve-toi un boulot, pendant les jours, puis - go from there. And how's that going? You know how that's going. I don't know what to do. I suppose it's a case of - keep trying and you'll find something eventually. I guess. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming.

Yeah. On the other? On the other, I've had the best years of my life these past few. Thanks to gay furries, mostly. Fucked up, isn't it? Tell me about it. Actually, don't - I know what you're like. Har. Har. I've travelled the world. I've met so many new people and done so many new things. I've stared into eyes so pretty that you might as well throw away all of art's institutions and give up. We've found beauty. And? I've started feeling again. It's not all so grey. Whether it be the plains of Indiana or 320 kilometres an hour on the LGV atlantique, or sunrises and sunsets and sand dunes and the sea, it feels a little more colourful. And? I think I've loved. Because there are people in my life who I now care so much for, beyond blood, that I'd damn near die for. Friendship and blossoming something-or-others or the tumultuous, nebulous mess that you'd call queer love. I've found it. So, it's been a year. It has. Doing anything for it? I don't think I will. A death day isn't worth celebrating. Pulling a Renton? Yeah. Choose life.

I know that it might not go anywhere, but I'm happy with what's happened and what might. That's good. And? I broke down into tears on the flight back. I was given my sugar packets for my coffee, and I broke down because they reminded me of the whole, wretched, beautiful ordeal. I think that's beautiful too. Yeah. It's fucked up. How can I miss people already, even after a goodbye at an airport gate? I think that's normal sometimes. As you say - you're happy with where it might go, even if that's nowhere. Let yourself be a little soppy, if it feels good. But it's so hard. Tough shit! Life is hard. This, though - it's hard in a good way. In a good way.

I still think deserving is a little backwards way of looking at it. Why should we be deserving? How small. How English. Are we not all worthy of love? Perhaps, but I like to think you're the exception. Why? You're still the same person you were all those years ago. You're still possessive. Still jealous. Still frets over who sleeps with who, and yet still a hypocrite with your own actions. Still insensitive, hurtful, pushy, selfish, insolent, infantile- Must you? Well, are you getting it through your skull yet? Sometimes, I don't believe you. That is... unfortunate.
