Can Chinese government hackers take over a maid and have it slit your throat while you sleep?

Amazing the lethal vulnerabilities people are willing to take on instead of loading their dishwasher

Morel rules:
1) get expert ID, don't be stupid & eat without it
2) cook properly before eating, destroys methyl hydrazine toxins
3) don't gorge; they're delicious but too much in a sitting = unhappy belly
4) don't drink alcohol on the same day; small % ppl can have sensitivity/reduced metabolism.

I like to slice them in half like this and steep them in salty water for a few minutes to evict any bugs living in there. They soak up water so keep it quick. Pat dry, dehydrate 50°C for 6 hours or more, or cook in butter. You MUST cook it thoroughly, they're toxic if raw.

And yes, these are true morels. Note they are hollow, and the caps join directly to the stalk. They're also not slimy at all, and the crevices aren't the brain-like wrinkles of the false morel

If it seems silly, it's because our conceptual framework of "death" is quite silly

Memetics has been a supremely powerful, but poorly harnessed, technology for many millennia that we've used as pest control; it corrected against parasites within the herd and readied against enemies from without. But psychotics are more-or-less immune to memetics, by definition.

Psychotics are fascinating because they show us that the human brain has become so polymorphic across the species that we've developed a rich intraspecies ecology: grazers, hives, predators, parasites. And within each of these is a myriad of subcategories.

Of course, a subset of psychotics are very charismatic by affect, it's part of their predator strategy. There's a bias here because non-charismatic psychotics are not as interesting, and you don't hear about them that much. Low INT and/or low CHA are a different breed of problem.

Turned out to be bogus though. Targeted campaign to hurt the growers.
