Will be teaching 4th semester BSc students about the beauty of sedimentary structures next Monday. Look at these wonderful flame structures in Miocene turbidites from the Austrian Molasse Basin!

Poster by our PhD cand. Nathalia Cerón on erosion response to forest loss after metallurgical activity on Elba Island. Cosmogenic nuclides show major erosion ~837 CE, with massive of soil loss ~500 yrs after the Roman period.
